Odds 'n Ends... some ends, but mostly odds
Mmmm. Lunch. When you buy spicy chicken neck from a street vendor they
cut the neck up into pieces and give you a plastic glove so you don't
have to use your hands to eat them. You do have to use your teeth to
eat around the neck bones. I'm not sure why I ate this.

The view from my office window. They honk all day long. All night long, too. Even when no one is around the cab drivers honk.

The city at night. See all those buildings? That's why your housing
prices are rising. See all those lights? That's why they're damming the
river. This is one of the parks where couples go to make out. And white
guys go to watch them. Call it a hobby.

Did you know there is a HoJo's in Shanghai? It's the big blue building
with the symbol on it. In Chinese, the symbol means, "We'll keep the
light on for 'ya." There isn't very good copyright and trademark laws
here so HoJo's is allowed to use that slogan.

This is a temple out in the country. I went with a running group out
here. The run took us in the front door and out the back door. The
monks loved it.

The monks loved it even more when we srarted drinking beer in their
temple. And they didn't say anything when we peed in their bushes.

By the time we started playing drinking games the monks had
disappeared. They came back when we left and picked up all the trash.
There's money in them there recyclables.

Shangyang Market. As crowded as it looks. But the deals! Those were sweet.

This is the sign for a golf store. This store might have monoplied all
the articles but there were other golf stores around, so I'm not sure
what their marketing department had been going after when they created
the store name.

Gonna get burned... too hot in the HOT POT! It's a fun crowd. Later
this night these guys gave me my Chinese name. In English it means
either "Peace Dragon" or "Power Mud Swine" depending on your
inflection.
