December with the D'Arcys

Please sir may I have some porridge?

We thought this picture made Stella look like someone out of Oliver Twist.

When we first bought this outfit we thought she would never grow into it, now this is probably the last time she'll ever wear it.

Hooray for porridge!

Hint to new parents... all babies love wearing oversized hats.

Seriously, they love big hats.

It doesn't matter what kind of hat as long as it is big.

Our friend Debra came and visited and spent the whole weekend plotting on how to steal our baby. I found papers and drawings in her room to prove it. We sent her back home on a plane and avoided the disaster.

This is our Christmas Card

Nothing puts the Christ back in Christmas like a baby in a big hat. Holler!

I graduated!!!

It took me four years to finish graduate school and all I got was this lousy cake. Then I remembered, I love cake... especially the kind with tons of frosting. I ate on this thing for days and it was worth all the work.

Babies Love Foreigner!

Stella loves 70s rock, especially Foreigner. So we decided that it would be a good idea to let a real foreigner hold her for a while. Boy were we wrong. It started out alright, but...

You sold what to China?!?

Joel tried explaining to Stella that it is better for global security if Europeans are allowed to sell weapons to China. Stella called bullsh*t and started crying. That's my baby.

???

While Joel technically is not French, I still think it would be alright to caption this picture, "Stinky Cheese Headed Surrender Monkey". I would make fun of the Packers here if only the Vikings weren't so awful.
